I just went this afternoon (Tuesday the 24th), and it was nice; the theater wasn't even a third of the way full. (I live in a small college town, and most of the people I know went already, either in town or in the larger city about 1/2 hour away.) There were a lot of married folks and couples there, three pregnant women that we noticed and two babies. I was a bit concerned that the babies would disrupt my viewing pleasure, but it wasn't a problem at all. My two roommates and I got to the theater about a half hour before the showing, the place was nearly deserted and we got great seats :-). I may go again, because watching it with my roommates was interesting... both of them like Twilight, in their way, but think that it's really dumb overall. And I see their point, but disagree with them :D . So I'm tempted to go again, alone.

So that was my experience... loved the movie!!!

So I saw it yesterday afternoon at 2:00. I was actually planning on waiting a couple of weeks when theaters wouldnt be so crowded and/or early in the afternoon when "fangirls" would probably be in school. At least I got one out of the two cause even though I did get an early showing I was suprised that the theater was pretty full. I've been to a few movies earlier in the day before (after I get off work) and this was the first time most of the seats were filled. I did luck out as far as "fangirls", I had a pretty quiet group of adults it seems or just people who havent read the books cause nobody screamed when shirts came off.. Like I said on another thread, I decided to see the movie on a spur of the moment decision. I bought the tickets just as the previews were starting and I went the bathroom cause I forgot to go before I left work(I HATE having to go in the middle of a movie, even if I have read the book. I didnt want to miss one second of it...lol). Went to get myself a small popcorn and small soda. And made my way to the theater previews were still on and I lucked out again cause even though seats were filled all the way to the back I was still able to get my favorite seats sorta in front, where they have handicapped seats and railings where you can put your feet up. I sorta want to see it again, but I am also reminding myself that its costly to go to the movies even if its just me!!

I'm going to have to go again. Because this annoying woman, behind me, was chatting, on her cell phone, throughout the movie. She was so loud that she drowned out some of the dialogue. I wanted to backhand her  People were turning around shooting daggers at her. Finally I got the courage and told her,"I didn't pay 8 dollars to listen to you yack on your phone, now shut the !@$% up before I get the manager to come in here and throw you out." The audience cheered me  . She was so loud you could hear her throughout the theater. Needless to say, she shut up. Some of the audience members thanked me, after the show. I waited for months to see this and had to put up with that.

Good for you!! I hate it when people ruin a movie for me. Grrr..

I was very fortunate and got to see the movie at a "private" showing at 10 am. The movie theater here in town lets people rent a theater and see any current or past movie that it has license to show. All you have to do is guarantee 50 seats, so one of my friends called in like 4 months ago and set up the theater for us on the 21st. We had 52 people in a huge theater all to ourselves, and we only had to pay the matinee price!! :D

When we left, the line to see the movie was all the way around the theater, and we just walked out like we owned the place. They were so jealous that some of them started saying yelling that it wasn't fair. It was fair. It's not our fault that no one else thought of it. ;)

That is so cool...... I wish the theatre I go to would do that...

I had stuff to do at school so I couldn't go to the midnight premiere, but I went right after school with my buddy. She hadn't seen Twilight, or read the books, (I know!!) so she was kinda confused, and bless her heart, she kept on thinking that Bella and Edward were married. So I was explaining a lot of it to her as the movie was going.

I hope that I'll have a decent time when I see New Moon next week. The cheapness of the movie(as the local Dollar Theatre) will probably get plenty of people to show up.

So, I saw New Moon the day after it came out (no midnight premiere for me). I went with my husband, my parents, my brother and his wife, my little brother, my mother in law, and another couple we're friends with. It was actually a good experience. We had bought tickets earlier but still had to wait in a small line outside the theatre. We got there about an hour early though so we ended up getting good seats and being able to all sit together. There were a few Twilight/New Moon related shirts (and of course our group had on our Team Edward or Team Jacob shirts) but no one really dressed crazy. For the most part the crowd was very respectful though the shirtless scenes did get a lot of gasps. The second and third time me and my husband went the crowds were still pretty big but not packed. For some reason the crowds were a lot rowdier the last time we went. A lot of younger kids and the boys were very rude. Overall though my three viewing experiences were pretty good.

It's been a while but I still want to share my experience:

Did you got to a midnight showing or wait?
No! We didn't have midnight showing here in our country. I manage to reserve a ticket on the opening day for last full show. I couldn't reserve earlier than 8pm because I have a complicated work schedule so I got the 10.30PM. But the good news is we got a really good seat because I reserve the seats 1 month before showing date.

Did you dress up, where a special t-shirt?
Of course I wear my team edward shirt.

What were the crowds like?
Excited! Rowdy! Noisy! All in all its fun to be part of that crowd on that day.

Will you see the movie again?
Actually I did. 3 days after the opening I was in the theater again watching New Moon...
