Carmen reminded me Esme. She had this motherly instinct that just kicked in when she met Renesmee. Her Spanish comments to Ray (my nickname for her, I dislike using Nessie) were so heartfelt and cute, just like the fascination people have with newborn babies. Carmen was definitely a strong female figure and independent thinker. She went against all the first impressions of Renesmee and drew her own conclusions, even with Eleazars inital protests.

I love Carmen, she is my favorite minor character from Breaking Dawn. I like her mostly because she was the first to accept Renesmee. Plus she has dark hair like me, and she is a vegetarian.

I love Carmen! She just seems so open to new things, like Renesmee. Definetly the Esme of the Denali coven! Did Stephenie Meyer ever say how she and Eleazar got together?

I think Carmen is the Esme of the Denali coven. Just because she's so sweet and accepting.

I can imagine her having a history similiar to Esme's - I can see her desperate for a child.

I imagine Carmen to be really vivacious and spunky. She seems to revolve around her heart rather than her head. Very loveable!

Exactly!! Also, I preferred the name Nez over Nessie.
Carmen had a deep affinity/compassion towards Renesmee and I liked how Renesmee lit up when Carmen accepted her and wanted to hold her - so gentle.

I adore Carmen!
In fact, at a twilight ball me and my girls are dressing as the denali clan and I'm Carmen!

Does anyone know of any good fanart of Carmen because I really want to get a feel of what she looks like?
