Hey girls!

Quick post from me!
About the meeting up from all of us before the next movie: I've got TeamSpeak. It's easier than Skype. It's a small program which you install, then you all log in and we can all speak to each other :)

About HP, I'm so excited! I can't wait for it to be released, so that I can go and see it.

About me. Still not good, but since I'm tired myself off complaining, I'll just leave it at that ;)

Love you guys! Bye!

Good evening ladies

So the football did not go well my team drew 2-2 which was bad as our 2 rivals losed so we haven't taken advantage of that on the plus side in the f1 my driver finished. In 2 which was good also I forgot to mention that I went to a gig with my best freind last week to see the vaselines and they were awseome right I'm about to go eat a yummy roast dinner then off to the casino with my best freind ill check into tommorow after work hope your all having a good weekend

Ann-Marie, I so want to hate your F1 driver now...but mine did score points, so I can't be too upset... ;) ...the last few races are going to be exciting...

Hey, Shauni, Good luck at the uni...I hope you'll have time to post...

Hi Vicky, I don't think you missed anything really important... I'm sure you saw the Robsten pic (where they were kissing) and maybe you heard that Rob did a road trip to New Orleans...(where Kstew was shooting a new movie)...and now we are all desperately waiting for BD to start shooting...
Oh and the Eclipse dvd will come with Rob and Kstew's comments...

Brienna, where are you going to watch HP? Cinestar again? shall I keep you posted in the premiere details? I'm going to cinestar again with around 20 people, I just have to find out when I can order tickets...I'm alloud to haras them from the 1st of October...

Happy Sunday ladies!

I promised to explain , so here we go....if you are at all squeemish you may want to skip this part...

My daughter has a condition called idiopathic intercranial hypertension. Her body doesn't absorb CSF (cerebral spinal fluid) like it should. As a consequence, the pressure of the fluid in her spinal cord and around her brain causes headaches. When we were still in AZ, the Doc did her first LP (lumbar puncture aka spinal tap) and her pressure was 48. The high end of normal is 20, so he drained 32 cc's of CSF, and got the pressure down to 28 which made the headaches less severe but still there every day. The Doc here in WY has been trying other avenues to try and relieve the headaches but nothing was really working, so he decided to try another LP. Even with her being on meds to decrease the production of CSF, her pressure was 31, so he drained 16 cc's this time. Which leads us to the ER visit yesterday. When they do the LP, it leaves a small hole (call me Capt. Obvious) which can continue to leak fluid for a while. In the case of her first one, her pressure was still high, so it didn't really have much of an effect. This time, it caused migraine level head pain (in her words like someone was hitting her in the forehead with a hammer) every time she sat or stood up. This happens because with the decrease in CSF, there isn't as much of a cushion around the brain causing it to settle on the inside of the skull. So they did a proceedure called a blood patch. They withdrew a small amount of her blood, then injected it into the LP site just above the spinal cord making a blood clot to "plug up" the leak. I am happy to report that other than some back pain from all of the needles in the same spot she feels 1000 times better which makes me a very happy mama bear :)

Ok now on to something a little less gruesome....
one of my first wallpaper attempts
I need to do more Rosten ones
I really love pianos

I really should try and get some cleaning done today...I'll pop back in later to check up on everyone!! Have a great Sunday girls!!!

  • So, I said I would post again on Friday, but I completely forgot (don't even ask me how... :? ) that Saturday was the big 5K/15K fundraiser that my family participates in every year! The Chic-fil-A Miracle Miles raises money for the NICU at our local hospital for women & babies. My family has participated in recent years to celebrate the life of our second child, a little girl we barely got a chance to know but were very blessed to have. This October would have been her eighth birthday. The race is our way to remember her life with our surviving children and help other families who go through similar circumstances. We love it and all we have to do is put on our running shoes! :D

Anyway, I hope you all have had wonderful weekends doing things that matter to you!!

Tracy~ Wow, an in-thread review on WDH! Thanks sweetie! I hope you caught the update today, it’s on FF now. Waiting for my validation beta to get to it on Twilighted, should be up by tonight though.

Marielle~ How nice of your parents to support your Twilight habit by buying you Edward! Yes- I did actually say that out loud to my husband. His face was incredulous, but amused. He was with me when I first saw the “I Drive Like a Cullen” sticker and so he gets it a little bit. As much as he teases me, we both know I'm happier with a hobby. ;)

Susie~ I have my fingers crossed for you and hubs on the job opportunity. Are you sure you are ready to give up your Househusband though?? LOL! If it gets too cold up there, come visit. Things are back to normal, so if it's a quick trip, just about anytime would be good. Hubby does his Reserve weekends second weekend of every month though, so maybe not then.

JennJenn~ I saw you today! Not really... just your reviews, but thanks BB!!

Caryn~ Thanks for the video. I will have to dig out some headphones and watch it with sound at some point. :-)

Jaclyn~ You should have seen my husband’s face when I called him over to show him the actual post “live”! OMG!! Although, I have to say it worked out well for me. I haven’t been slung over his shoulder in the fireman’s carry in some time. ;-)

Tammy~ You’re killing me again with the eyecandy!! But... in more serious news: I truly, truly hope your daughter is much better today. Spinal taps are no fun, and spinal headaches are even worse. It doesn’t even compare, but I had an issue when they did my epidural when Little Man was born. Ouch! Anyway, have they ever talked about shunting her so she wouldn’t have the recurring headaches?? I had a friend in HighSchool with a similar condition and she had a shunt put in eventually.

Brienna~ Hi!! Have we been introduced? I can’t remember... but “HI!”

Anne Marie~ Hi! Ruby red?? I’ve always wanted to go red like Nicole Kidman’s hair was in “Practical Magic”. I have it on good authority from my sister/ rockstar hairdresser that I could pull off just about any shade of red, but because it fades so fast and requires upkeep, I’ve never done it. My natural hair is... well, actually kinda bronze now that I think about it. LOL!

Vicky~ Hi! Glad you’re back. :)

Shauni~ Have a great term at uni!! Thanks for the pics!

Whew! I think that's everyone!
Have a great rest of your Sunday & a wonderful Monday morning as well!! Ginnie

Evening everyone,

Well that is BabyE away home now. We dropped her off, went to Ikea to get some stuff (but they didn't have what we wanted in stock, so will have to go back later...), went and had dinner with my parents (chinese take out - yum!) and came home. The place is kinda a bomb site due to the aforementioned BabyE  but I'm far too tired to tidy up now.. Tomorrow after work I will clean the windows and floors... unless anyone wants to come and do it for me?? Haha!

Anyways,

Tammy - Wow!! I sure hope your daughter is ok now!! That all sounds really scary. How old is she again? Will they have to keep doing spinal taps? A shunt like Ginnie said might be a good idea?
Gorgeous pics btw! :D

missp - Congrats to the nephews win on Saturday night!

Brienna - Sorry to hear you are still not feeling right :( Don't be daft, we don't mind one bit if you want to say you feel ill! I just hope it passes sooner rather than later for you...
TeamSpeak? I've never heard of that, but sounds cool to me! I'm positive we will be able to get something sorted for next year.
That would be really cool if you got to meet Marielle when DH comes out.

Ann Marie - Ahh, a Rob Marathon sounds lovely!
Good luck at the casino! I would love to go to 1 one day.

Vicky - Hi! Good to see you back - sounds like you have had a lot of fun with your friends lately :)

Ginnie - I really enjoyed reading your mega post!! I have no time to do a decent one just now though...

Shauni - I hope uni goes well for you tomorrow! You will have to keep us posted :)
Great pics btw!

Hmm, what date is DHpart1 released again? I couldn't remember at all today!

Hi to everyone else! Sorry, but gotta run as I want to watch The X Factor before I go to bed, and I'm really tired, so a late night & insanely tired at work tomorrow it is for me LOL.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!
Bye!
