Nima: It took my 5 hours to type that up..so I'm keeping it. ;)

Welcome Vampman! (Does anyone else hear an Alice n' Chains' song when they say that?) Great PSD by the way. Before I clicked on the link (click click click) I knew it would be Kate Beckinsale). My husband lurvs her. Heck, I think she's absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous as well.

I have weird dreams all the time. I dream about people with babies. Rather, I predict babies. The first one was in early spring 2000 and I've had many dreams just like it since...but with different people, of course. They have ALL had the same end result. In Spring 2001 I dreamed I was *observing* my friend, M, shopping in a grocery store. She had a shopping cart and there was a little boy standing in the cart and another boy sitting in the front. M already had 2 boys who were bigger than the 2 in the dream and they looked different. The boys in the dream were close in age and both had blonde hair. I asked M if she were pregnant, and she said no. I asked if she were sure. She got a bit pissy with me. About a month an a half later, I had the same exact dream again. I called her at work and demanded her to tell me if she were pregnant. She said, emphatically, "NO!"

August 2001 I was going back home to finish up my BA, and was hoping to see M. I couldn't find her new number, so I called her aunt. M and I grew up together, so her family is like my family. Her aunt & I talked for a few minutes, and I asked how M is doing, and she said, "Well, she's as big as a house." I was taken aback. Yeah, the last time I saw M (back in May) she had put on some weight. I said, "Mary, that's not a very nice thing to say. She can't help it." Mary said, "Ohh, I know it. He's a big baby." WHAT!? Yes, M was pregnant after all and never told me. Needless to say I called her immediately. She was very sheepish. I saw her a few days later. She was huge. She was pregnant when I had the dream, but no one but she & her husband knew. We lost touch (my fault. I drift from people when they have babies). The next year I called her. She'd just had baby 4. He was conceived 6 weeks after baby 3 was born. Both boys have blonde hair.

I've had 6 or 7 dreams like it since. Not all of them are sleeping dreams. My last dream was last October. In this one I saw my SIL calling out to a little boy who was about 18 months to 2 years old. He had dark hair and chubby cheeks. She called him Grayson. I told my friends and hubby about it. 2 weeks later, my SIL announces she's pregnant. I told her about my vision. Nearly 3 months ago, my nephew Evan (who was thisclose to being Grayson) was born. His name throughout the pregnancy was Grayson. That was the name by SIL wanted. She freaked out when I told her the name. perhaps, if I wouldn't have said his name to anyone, he still would've bene called that. Who knows. Here's the very latest picture of my nephew -->Evan

I also have dreams about the end of the world, spiders, tornadoes, snakes. In one snake dream, I died. My most recurring dream (or rather theme) is that I'm forced to work at Wal-Mart again. Seriously. I have nightmares about it. I had one this afternoon during my 3 hour nap.

Okay, I know that technically we have a new topic, but the original dream question made me remember last night's dream, and I had to share it in all it's strangeness with you.

Backstory to my dream: Lately I have been addicted [in the clinical sense] to http://www.Icanhascheezburger.com

I have been staying up till 2 in the morning just looking through pages and pages of LOLcats. (if you don't know what those are, check out the link - but be warned! It may, or may not, change your life....) It's kind of embarassing, but they make me laugh so loud that I have to clap my hand over my mouth so I don't wake up the roomie. We're talking hundreds of pages here. So, in my habitual browsing of those funny felines, I came across this picture -http://icanhascheezburger.com/2007/04/22/i-gotz-my-box/

[additional gratuitus sloth picture ....

Okay, back to my point. So, that night I had a dream that I went to the pet store to get a puppy. But, when I got there, there was this teeny, furry, baby sloth. It was reaching out to me with it's little slothy-claws, like it wanted a hug. I said,"I MUST HAVE THAT SLOTH!" to the clerk, and I took home my little sloth baby.

So, when I get my little sloth-baby home, all of my sisters crowd around me, and go, "Um, so where's the puppy?" And I show them my sloth, but when I take it out of the box, it grabs my two index fingers REALLY REALLY tight with it's sloth-claws, and cuts off my circulation. So, we decide to take it back to the store. The End.

Weird, huh?! I woke up, and I had been laying on my hands in a strange position, and my fingers (the ones the baby sloth had been pinching in my dream) were asleep. HAHAHAHA.

First, i forgot to mention Dean Koontz in my last post. I read a lot of his books years ago and my favourite was Twilight Eyes. It was actually the first of his books that i read. I had to stop reading scary books a few years ago because i was having nightmares.

Second: SLIPPERS...I can't live without slippers. I hate when my feet are cold and i have several pair of slippers placed strategically around the house so if i find myself slipperless I never have to go too far to find a pair. My living room and kitchen are in the basement so my feet are always cold!

That reminds me, i forgot to pack my slippers. bah. will have to steal my brother's.

Twinnie, I don't think "my" Edward is really an Edward, because a real Edward would have called by now. I realize he's busy and travels a lot for work, but...anyway, i'm sure there are more out there. I am really starting to think that the giggling got to him. ;)

Ok, the picture is amusing, but what's down right funny is the idea of a "gratuitus" sloth picture! Like that's the next thing in cyber-porn. Should we make that our PSD? hahahaha

Given your track record, should we invest in bomb shelters or buy stock in snake wrangling? So what are your feelings about slippers now that you've hopefully had some dreamless sleep? Dang stinkin' cute nephew by the way!

I don't think he's really an Edward. I think someone told him about the books and he's been using the name to pick up women. Clearly if his name was really Edward he would have called by now...OR...he's like FS. His middle name is Edward which means he's only half an Edward. Good intentions, wayyyy too much procrastinating. Thus guy probably doesn't even realize how much time has gone by and now it's too late to call and save face. His loss!

Oh my golly...
I am laughing so hard at the gratuitous sloth photos. THose are the best Tamalyn, thanks for sharing.

I have been preoccupied and so I say welcome to all the newcomers. I think I noticed a new male. Nice! Glad to have you join us ladies and our few gutter guys.

Slippers, why do I bother buying them for my children when they don't wear them. My oldest has taken to wearing her father's slippers...hello, you have your own and your father might want to wear his! Yeah, socks are pretty dirty looking in our house. Oh well.

My worst nightmare that I remember as a kid was one where I was with a bunch of other kids/teenagers and we were climbing around cliffs/canyons, like we were climbing on the Grand Canyon or something. Needless to say, we were falling off the cliff one by one and I woke up with a start as I was falling off the cliff. I still don't like edges/ledges. I don't mind heights, it's the edge of the height that I don't like.

thanks vampmadness! :)

the gratuitous sloth pics are the best!!!! i needed that! today is dragging, is busy, i just got back from the gym and my arms are like noodles, and i still have 3.5 hours to put in before i go away.

oh, speaking of sloth...back in the late 90s, early 00s when i lived on the living room floor of my friends' apartment, Sundays used to be Sloth and Toffinana Day.

My sister had moved to England and on one of her trips home she introduced us to Banoffee Pie. I made it for the girls one Sunday and they loved it. What's not to like about bananas, toffee, digestive biscuits and whipped cream?! They just couldn't get the name right so they dubbed it Toffinana. The next Sunday they bought the supplies and i made it again, and thus Sunday Sloth and Toffinana Day was born. We did it for months! We'd stay in our pjs, wear our biggest slippers, curl up on my bed and play Dr. Mario while being slothful and toffinana-ish.

Oleander

Oh My God, that looks yummy and I'm so hungry right now.

I totally understand the sloth days, when I was in college we had them too but ours was mostly due to being hungover, so we would totally cram into one bed or on one couch and veg in front of the tv watching movies and ordering take out.

I don't mean to change the subject here but, this could not wait.

Has anybody seen Embrace of the Vampire with Alyssa Milano?

It was on late last night and I thought, I like Vampires! I like Alyssa Milano, She's a pretty good actress right? She's cute right? She wouldn't do a B movie right? WRONGO!!! This had to be one of the strangest movies I have ever seen It border lined soft porn. I get the story line about the centuries old Vampire that lost his soul mate and has found her again in the form of 17 year college freshmen Alyssa Milano. I just don't get why she did the movie! Obviously not a career wrecker for her but OMG!

Did anybody see CSI NY last night? One word...creepy! I wonder if there are actually people like that?

I haven't seen it, but if I remember correctly from her A&E bio, she did that coming out of Who's the Boss and trying to "grow up" her image. In fact one of the first movies she did after Who's the Boss went off the air was a made-for-TV movie where she played Amy Fisher, the Long Island Lolita. She also did Confessions of a Sorority Girl. Real high brow entertainment there...
