Re: Breaking Dawn the Movie- I liked it!
I'll be quite honest. I lost my interest in Twilight a few years ago, and I've been one of its critics since the NOVEL Breaking Dawn (because, quite honestly, I was disappointed with its conclusion). But when I WATCHED Breaking Dawn, that little fangirl sitting somewhere in the back of my brain squealed her little heart out at every scene. I LOVED IT. I think it was better than the book. It was executed VERY well. The costume, the makeup, the special effects. Everything was great. The only criticisms I have are on Taylor Lautner's acting, and I even have to give him some props for certain parts. So... Overall... *SQUEE!*

I LOVED it! The way they spent so much time on the wedding and honeymoon was wonderful. I wish they would have spent more time around Bella when she was pregnant. ie: I really wish we could have "flown" back with them from Isle Esme and watch as Rosalie guarded Bella and "EJ", basically that first 2 weeks. I know it wasn't elaborated on in the book, but they write other things in with no problem ie: the Cullen's fighting with the wolves, so they could have done something a little more. Now granted, I am one of those TwiHards that would have LOVED a 4 hour part 1 movie lol I do understand though that cutting and editing is a must Overall, 2 thumbs and 2 big toes up!

I loved this film. It's my favorite so far. I loved that it got back to what the saga is all about = Bella & Edward. It is their love story. I was very pleasantly surprised w/the imprinting scene, the birth scene, and how they did Bella's transformation. I thought Rob & Kristen especially both did amazing jobs in this one. Especially when Edward was fighting to get Bella's heart pumping and fighting for her life and when he told her to come back to him so freaking heat breaking.
I am so glad they split it into 2 parts so they could could stay closer to the book.
I've only seen it once & I can't wait to go again. I know when the dvd comes out (yes I'm already thinking about that) I will watch it over & over & over & over & over again.

I readily admit when I went to the theater I was incredibly skeptical about Breaking Dawn. I had a love/hate relationship with the book, and so I had no idea how they were going to make this movie work...but they did. While it isn't acadamy award material, I think all of the actors did a great job, especially Robert, Kristen, and Taylor. I don't know why everyone was griping about Taylor... I think he did a great job. Of all the Twilight movies, this one will rank my favorite, and it makes me wonder what would have happened had Summit spent 100 million dollars on each of the films in the first place. Without a shadow of a doubt, you can tell where each dollar went. The wolves looked fantastic, and their "voice" wasn't as terrible as so many other fans gripped about. The imprinting scene worked incredibly well, without the creepiness that could have happened.
I give it 7 paws out of 10.

I haven't seen it yet, but I heard from a couple of sighted friends that "it was really gory", said one, and another said, "The movie left out alot of things in the book." Of course, this is only part 1, so maybe my young friend was thinking of the whole book. Personally, I can't wait till the Twilight saga is out in DVS format. That's where they describe the movie for blind people. I'll be able to give a more thorough review, once I've really been able to hear the dialogue of the characters, the description by the narrator, and the musical score.
I hope the narrator doesn't leave anything out.

I thought it was wonderful. I haven't been into the movies much, but they really stuck close to the book for this one. I was not dissapointed -- Breaking Dawn was my favorite book, and I think they handled it beautifully. I can tell that splitting the movie into two parts really helped preserve the story. : )

So far Breaking Dawn - Part 1 is my favorite movie of the saga. I just thought everything was perfect, the music was great and I loved everything about the movie in general
Can't wait for Part 2!

I saw the movie ages ago thanksgiving weekend, with my mom, my aunt and uncle. I loved it, I agree with what everyone has said, I think it was very well done and I can't wait for part two. I am so preoccupied with my "life issues" that I completely forgot all about the movie and it just sort of hit me that its coming up in no time at all.

I loved it! I think that the films really benefited from splitting the book because so much more of the story could be explored in detail that way. The wedding was perfect even though it wasn't the same as the books, the honeymoon with Bella's frustration was hilarious and the pregnancy was just as horrifying as it should have been. Even the acting seemed better than any of the previous films. It was just about perfect for me.
