Bronze Haired Girl

How did you pick your screen name?
For several years my nickname was Red or Lil’ Red because of my hair color, which is a reddish brown. When signing up I considered using one of those, but decided to go with something a little closer to my actual coloring. I liked that Edward was described as bronze haired. I thought bronze was a good description of my hair color so I became Bronze Haired Girl. Of course, this quickly became BHG on the boards so you’ll see that abbreviation more often than my full screen name.
How did you come to read Twilight and which book is your favorite?
I’m lucky enough that I get to listen to whatever I want while at work. Most of the time I listen to audiobooks. A friend told me I needed to listen to a really good book she had just finished. But I was reluctant when she told me it was about vampires. After seeing other friends discuss it with her and make comments about how good it was I finally gave in and listened to Twilight. I was instantly hooked.
I’m not really sure which one is my favorite. Twilight is special because it got me hooked and the love story presented there is wonderful. I enjoyed Eclipse thoroughly and I did like New Moon. But I think I connected on a deeper level while reading Breaking Dawn. BD was the only one of the four that caused me to cry and the times that I was moved to tears was during times when Bella’s mothering instinct was in full force. I finished the book with the opinion that mothers would have a much different reaction to the book than those who are not mothers.
Who do you like best: Edward, Bella, or Jacob?
Before BD I would have said I liked them equally. But after BD I believe Jacob has moved ahead.
Who is your favorite minor character?
That would be…(drumroll)… Emmett. *gasp* Shocker, I know! Emmett always has been and always will be my absolute favorite of all the characters. I also have a soft spot for Quil and Seth. I’m still learning the new characters we met in BD, but I think Benjamin and Garrett will also make it onto my list.
What are your hobbies?
I love to read. I have also recently discovered an interest in photography. Beyond that I don’t have much time to pursue my own interests because I’m too busy helping my kids pursue theirs.
Where are you from (general area like Montana, not exact town!)
Tennessee
How old are you? (In general, like teen, 20's, 30's, 40's etc)
30's
Anything else you would like to share.
This is the first time I have become so involved in a book, any book. When I joined the Lexicon back in 2006, fandom of any kind was a new experience for me. It’s been great and I’ve enjoyed myself tremendously. And I look forward to more laughs and good discussion.
