I'm not from Salt Lake, but I am LDS! I remember when my friend first recommended the Twilight Saga to me, she told me that it was by a LDS BYU graduate and that it was about vampires. I started to laugh. I just couldn't imagine a fellow Mormon writing a novel about vampires! I thought it would be cheesey. OBVIOUSLY, I was WRONG!

For any other Utah fans that may see this, we, the SLTA, entered a tree into The Festival of Trees, benefiting Primary Children's Hospital. Well, decorating was Monday, and the auction was yesterday. Our tree sold for over $4000! I am beyond thrilled. It is so cool to have a tree do so well - both to help the hospital, and because it means OUR TREE IS AWESOME! Here's some pictures. If you live close enough, you really should try to go see the Festival. It goes until Saturday, the 6th. 10am-10pm.

No!!! I'm in Utah! And I was going to go to the festival of trees anyways. But then my I had to go to a b-day party for my cousin!!! I can't believe I missed seeing your tree in person! I am going to kill my cousin for having his birthday that day.
Great pics by the way! And congrats!

It's nice to see your all still here & still getting together.
I've seen some of the exploits of the group show up in the newspaper.
I still have it somewhere around here.
There is no more chat room is there?
That was a ton of fun!!!
Is it just me or are there a bunch of members missing now?

Here is a fun Pre-Christmas tidbit that was recently posted online. It is an interview with Maria Carr that SLTA did about our festival of trees tree.

Meow_mix, all the members of the SLTA are still part of the SLTA. All of us just don't post on the boards anymore because of time constraints. We don't "chat" via the computer much anymore either.
Re: SLTA-Salt Lake City Twilighters Anonymous
You got your own website too!
That's awesome!
I'll have to agree with what Dano said on the blog, you guys aren't anonymous anymore!
I'd bet Dano never thought the SLTA would be a publicized as it's become.
Jenni_Elyse - I thought that might be the case.
I'm glad some of you are still here to talk to though.
