Re: Rob's HH #12: Sisterhood of the Pattinson
Morning!
Yesterday was a stinking hot day, one of the hottest we've had this summer. Today's supposed to be a little better, although the humidity's still high. I'm going to try and finish my edit on my new manuscript today. Then I can send it back to Rochelle for the next step.
Sarah - Some day you need to come here so I can give you an Aussie adventure!

Hey all,
Work was fine. I made mac n cheese with bacon tonight, very American It's one of Jason's favorite meals and fairly easy to make. I borrowed a hair straightener from my friend/boss and straightened my hair for the first time in a long while, just to see if it's something I'd want to do more often. I'm so bored with my beauty routine that I think it's worth the twenty bucks and time it takes to do it a few times a week.
Lynne-Oh I'd love that, it's a dream to visit Australia someday! You should come visit me and I'll take you to Forks and we can fan girl together over Twilight

Re: Rob's HH #12: Sisterhood of the Pattinson
Hey there!
I have work again today and I'm really hoping there's an editing job to do or I think I won't be working tomorrow. It's so frustrating not to have anything coming in. I imagine it's more frustrating for my boss.
Sarah - one day I will get to America, although I don't know when that will be. I want to go to England when we can, so my husband and son can meet all my English relatives. If I wait too long on that one, they won't be around anymore.

Hey all,
Busy few days with work and just life.
I've started looking at the Mockingjay DVD, trying to decide what version to buy. I'm itching to see all the deleted scenes that weren't in the first 3 movies but pretty annoyed Lionsgate is trying to screw the fans over again by making them pay more. It's like the Twilight box set featuring extras that came out after we owned all the movies already.
Lynne-Any luck with work? England sounds beautiful, hope you make it there at some point in the near future.

Hey there!
Well, I'm not working all next week because there's nothing to do. Bit of a problem. Fortunately, I did enough private editing work over the holidays that I've got money in the bank but I was hoping to use that for book promotions. Never mind. I've just got to hope something will come in after that, and a few things, actually. My boss has told me that the other full timer is running out of work and she has to take priority over me, a casual. So she will get jobs before me. So we need a few jobs to do!
Little Man's got cricket again today and is looking forward to it like you wouldn't believe.
Sarah - yeah it seems to be strategy by all the big companies when it comes to franchises - produce as many different boxed sets as you can so you force fans to buy them all.

Re: Rob's HH #12: Sisterhood of the Pattinson
Hi everyone.
I've been busy with work the second half of this week, but I'm happy that it's over and that I had no problems with anything at work.
I also have some Porsche and Toyota Le Mans stuff, so I'll provide a link to the place where I posted the photos:

I don't have much planned for this weekend, but I'm happy that at least it'll be warm for once.
I'll be back later

Hey all,
So glad it's Friday! I thought about hanging out with my Mom but I'm so tired from this week I decided to stay home. I finished re-reading Mockingjay and hung out with Jason.
Lynne-Oh no, no work? I'm so sorry. Are you thinking about looking for another job? I know you haven't been happy there :/ Praying for you!

Hey there!
Little Man had fun at his cricket game yesterday, even though they lost again. Apparently, he's one of the most enthusiastic players on the field!
I'm having coffee with an old school friends today. Haven't seen her for a while. It will be good to catch up.
Sarah - No, I'm not looking for another job yet. At this stage, I'm only missing work for a week. Although I may well join the Queensland Society of Editors this week, something I've been thinking of doing for some time, which may result in more editing work for my private editing business. That could mean I don't have to work there anymore.

Hey all,
This weekend has been good. Yesterday Jason and I ran a few errands, including selling some books at my favorite used bookstore. It's nice when he helps me declutter. Then yesterday evening, I went and saw my friend who had a baby a month ago. It was nice to give her some company and take the baby from her as much as the baby would let me
Lynne-Oh okay. Well maybe that society will help you promote your books? I saw you're quite active on Goodreads which can only help

Hey there!
I got quite a bit done yesterday. I applied to join the Qld Society of Editors, I wrote 2000 words of my new novel and did a few other things as well. So it was a productive day.
Sarah - the society of editors is a place where I'll promote my professional editing more than my writing. I'm hoping to get more private editing work through them. Hopefully it will result in some. If it gives me a lot I may be able to stop working for Amanda entirely. Glad you were able to de-clutter. How do you handle letting go of books? Sometimes I have trouble with that.
