Sorry for the double post but I wanted it separate from my message to Jaclyn.

Little one has a temp and between the scentsy party today and running around it has been a little crazy. Ok gotta run and take care of the kiddos. I will read all the previous post of what I missed today when they go to bed.

*walks into the HH…*

Holy smokes! You girls have been partying!!!!
I see you girls had so much fun…

*opens a window to let the alcohol smell out*….

Lets see, I have missed almost 6 pages…pffff…
I’m going to catch up on the important things…

First off, Jaclyn, I hope you have a beautiful, rain free wedding, with lots of love and emotions. Make sure that during your wedding day you stop and pause to think about it all, otherwise it will be over before you realize what has happened. I hope you post some pictures when you get back.

Amy, how’s the e-hangover?
I agree with you and Brenda on the baking advise… you’ve got to eat a variety of things, so don’t be afraid to tried something new every now and then.

Sean, did you see the Dutch driver in the F1? From what I have heard he didn’t do too bad…

Grayce, hihi I love comparing a relationship to a car…but in general you are right. Have you read Eat, Pray, Love? I really liked that book. It was funny but I have never seen the movie.

Susie, thanks for organizing the party, it was fun to be online with all of you at the same time…

Ann-marie, I like to see THG again. Maybe at the end of the month if it’s still in cinema’s I’ll go with my mom again.

Suzan & Susan, I don’t know if you caught my tip but Marcus Foster is playing in June in Holland 3 times, I know he is playing in Amsterdam but I thought one of the other concerts is at the other side of the country. I feel so sad that I can’t go. I hope he comes back soon after that.

Tracy, how you expect us to stay out of the Gutter when you are posting pics like that is beyond me.
Hihi, you and Susie are funny, like two old ladies gossiping about the young ones…hihi (Not that I think you are old, real life only starts at 50 right?)

Alright, some news from my side of life… My work is so confusing right now!!! Remember the job that I wanted, well I can have only a small part of it, it’s like they don’t take me seriously. Like they don’t think I can do it or something…I get mixed messages and all…there isn’t anybody here who says, “Yeah go ahead and do what you can.” Grrr…..
I’m so not happy with the way things are going here…

But I don’t want to complain too much, at least I have a job…

Well it's almost weekend, just 5 hours left....
See you all later!!!
These violent delights, have violent endings...Like fire and gunpowder, they consume what they kiss

Congrats Jaclyn!!!! I'm sorry I'm late! I've been wirking on taxes all day. Blah! I can't believe your wedding is a day away! I'm wishing you the most beautiful day you can imagine. Just relax and let the good feelings flow. :) if you know a friend that has a video camera ask them to bring it and get some shots of the ceremony and reception locations and just some candid shots of you guys and the guests. The thing we hear most from our clients is that 'it was such a whirl-wind they loved watching the video and remembering or even seeing some details for the first time. Even a disc of short video clips from an cell phone would be worth having.

So let's see, advice... Well I gues I'll be serious and say something I really believe in. Be sweet to each other. Learn what means "I love you" to your spouse and say it that way to them, often. Don't let yourself make fun of your spouse in front of others--you two are your biggest allies. Life will suck sometimes but it becomes manageable when you both commit to bringing the other up when they struggle. It's ok to argue! Just agree to each give up some things always. Lastly, make time for each other--have a weekly date night, create hobbies together or just lay around loving and enjoying. Life can be so beautiful, it's worth not wasting time on hurt feelings, grudges or demands. Step up and serve and your generosity will inspire greatness in the other.

Have fun mrs. bf!!! Lol!

Goodness, now we all have to get back down to normal posts! It was a great party, though!

I drove Little Man and my parents up to the mountains today, and we had a lovely picnic. I will post some pics on Facebook later. Our internet has been on and off for the past few days. Apparently they were fixing it this afternoon. I hope it's fixed now.

Anyway, must dash. I can't wait to see photos from Jaclyn's wedding!

Wow….what a party! You girls sure do know how to bring the house down. Jaclyn, I hope you had a great time!!

Guess it’s back to the old routine now…

Lynne, did you get some great sand castles made? Will you be moving into any of them?
Yes, it was a NASTY bug…everyone I’ve talked to that has had it said they had it for several days and it was really bad. I’d never heard of a stomach bug that lasted more then a couple of days.

Susie, isn’t it nice to have a range of friends? I have a very diverse group as well, and it’s so interesting because it’s also a very international group. My friends here in the Netherlands are women I met at language school, so they come from all different countries…Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Iran, Mexico, etc…we like to get together and do a sort of pot luck dinner where everyone brings something from their own country. We eat well. I bet with women of different ages, it offers its own advantages…”pearls of wisdom” as my College Choir director would have said! And yes, this stomach bug was WAY worse than the normal one. My MIL said to me that she was really stupid to tell us to come and she should have told us to stay home. But at least they are on the tail end, my BIL was being released from the hospital today. Glad you liked my Twi-prov clip…that one always cracks me up. “I just imprinted on all of you.”

Christina, that is great! Congratulations on the raise! It must really be nice to be recognized for your hard work. Have you heard from Ginnie now? I don’t think I’ll be able to get money together by December anyway, so maybe it’s a blessing in disguise (for me anyway) that the convention has been changed, but I’m hoping to get back to Disney and WWoHP in a few years anyway, so I’m sure we’ll get to meet at some point, just not as soon. I’m glad they found most of your uncles stolen property, but too bad he can’t have it back yet, and of course the cash is gone.

Marielle, that makes sense. I just know that he has to go to the hospital every time he gets a fever. That must really suck! But he said they were going to release him today. How’s your head today? Any better? Or did partying last night give you a hangover? ;)

Suzan, your visual for “It’s Raining Rob” cracked me up. Yikes!

Jaclyn, I can’t take credit for the winning and losing comment….it’s something Dr. Phil said that really resonated with me and I’ve always tried to remember that. Hrmmm…I think that would be a great activity for HH con…Rob Karaoke…singing songs and replacing one main word with Rob. I bet there are a lot of songs that would work that way…“girls just wanna have Rob”, “I will always love Rob”, etc…

Desiree, I hope the little one feels better soon! Good luck with the Scentsy party! A lot of my friends are really into that.

So excited that JK Rowling finally announced her newest book and a release date. I’ve added it to my “to read” list on Goodreads. I’m off….I’m a super tired girl. Hub’s birthday is today, so my inlaws are coming over for coffee tonight, which has meant lots of cleaning and baking in the last couple of days, and I had to get up early this morning to get the kids up so we could sing to him and give him presents. I think I need a nap and Bug is sitting here sucking her thumb, obviously also very tired, so I stand a chance of having a nice nap….now how to convince the boy child that he needs to sleep….?

Happy Friday!!

Sorry I wasn't able to get back on yesterday, but after going back through all the posts, I think we succeeded in making Jaclyn's send-off to marriage a great party! Thanks, again, Susie for letting me know about it. :)

I think my favorite pic may have been Amy's (I think) with the rainbow man-shorts  they remind me, in a bizarre way, of the bedazzled vest

Tracy ~ LOVE the watch-porn!! I may have to revisit that pic many times today!

Gotta run - Hope you all have a great weekend!! TTYS!

I missed the entire party , even the after party!!!

Sorry ladies, I know I promised a post after I got to the office but I arrive there with the whole Finance department in utter chaos. It's the last day of filing audited corporate FS and all my boss are already there. I tried reading and drafting post but every 10 seconds someone is calling me and asking me to do things that I'm forced to closed the net. Anyways...

Congratulations Jaclyn

Really excited for your wedding. Hope it’s all you ever dreamed of and more. I know you worked really hard for the preparations and now it’s already here. Come back whenever you can and tell us all about it. There's this Filipino blessing that was given to every newlyweds, it goes "Humayo kayo at magparami". Translation "Go and multiply" ;)

Enough said!

Okay normal post now...

Now I mentioned in our FB page that I went back to my parents’ home town during the Lenten holiday. We spent 5 days there. Both my two elder brothers and their families and also my aunt and uncles and cousins are also there. It's so great to spend time with the entire family. We were so jam packed at the house that it took batches to get us all fed. After my grandparents passed away its only my mom and dad who lived in our ancestral house, that's why it’s always a sight to see whenever we're all there. My mom says the house became alive with all of us there. 3 years ago my dad had renovated the 3 bedrooms in the 2nd floor and made it into 1 very big bedroom. They took out every furniture’s (except the tv and dvd), installed high end AC enough to keep us all cool and every bed had been replaced with blow up mattresses, futons and sofa beds. Everybody picks their corner and sleeps on the floor. Back then I was very hesitant to join the royal rumble as what I like to call it. There's no privacy, some of my male cousins could get loud and rowdy and the little ones are playing and running all the time. It was crazy, we look like evacuees after a disaster strikes. But after the first night of sleeping arrangement like that, it became one of the things I look forward to whenever we went back home. It’s like one giant and longtime sleep over. We spent the days having a movie marathon or bickering and taunting over wii and ps3 games, swapping gadgets so we can play and check out each other’s apps and siesta in the afternoons (which I considered a luxury since I start working).

This time I slept beside my eldest nephew who just turned 13. During the first night everybody was asleep except the 2 of us. I was reading on my kindle while he texted nonstop. After a while I decided to go to sleep and I noticed him smiling over his cellphone while clicking away so I ask him who he’s texting. After a lot of persuasion on my part, he finally admitted it’s his girlfriend. GIRLFRIEND!!! He just turned 13 and will be in grade 7 this coming school year. GIRLFRIEND! I shook my head and look at him closely for the first time, he’s tall almost 5’8, his face is changing its shape not so much baby-ish, no more chubby cheeks, I see a faint hint of facial hair, he doesn’t even smell of fresh powder anymore and I remember seeing him carry half a sack of rice as if it weights nothing. There’s actually real muscles in those body, I was actually baffled where those biceps and chest came from, though I know he plays basketball and soccer and is a blackbelt in taekwando but still…GIRLFRIEND! I ask him what happened to my cute chubby baby nephew who I used to sneak in a second bottle of milk every night when he was 4 yrs old in exchange for hugs and kisses. He just laughs at me in his now throaty voice and shows me a picture of his girl, some of the text they’re exchanging and asks a lot of questions. We ended up talking until the wee hours of the morning and right before I feel asleep I heard him say, “Thanks Tita (Auntie), I missed you.” I smiled at him, and whispered “I’ve missed you too, kuya (big brother, it became his pet name when we found out he’s going to have a younger brother)”. Jeez they sure grow so fast...

Susie – Thanks for being so patient in explaining the confusing time zones and for constantly reminding me what I’m missing on the lex. Thanks for organizing Jaclyn’s Hen Night. BTW we Filipinos only called it Bridal Shower because it usually starts with dinner wherein house gifts are given then as the night goes on an equivalent of Hen Night happens, gifts starts to get naughtier, dessert served are...weirdly shaped and ladies drinks are poured.

Susan – Wow JKR has a new book. Sucks to be living under a rock. Thanks for posting it up, I’ll have to look into it. Hope you’re stomach bug gets better really soon. Happy birthday to your Hubs.

Marielle – Sorry you’re having problems with the job you want to take. Just do the best you can and show those people who are doubting you that you can do it.

Desiree – Hope the little one gets better soon. BTW have you heard about an author named Kristen Ashley? I’m reading her series entitled Rock Chick, there are currently 7 and it’s so good. I’ve been reading it for the past week. It’s an adult book with lots of humor, lemons (not graphic though) and good lovin’. All human, so it’s a nice change…

Suzan – Loved the pictures you posted. I was laughing so hard with it. Rob jumping pictures never fails to brighten my day however bad it started. I love your banner!

Caryn – Wow you’re on the roll. I love the videos you’ve posted specially Newmans/Robsten. It’s beautiful and it gives me goosebumps on how very similar they both are.

Sorry have to cut this here. It's past midnight again and I still have some packing and reading to do before I go to bed. We've rented a private hot spring resort for an overnight this weekend. Everybody who's at the Lenten vacation last week are going so its bound to be chaotic, crazy and fun all over again. I loved being part of a big family. Will tell you all about it next time I come back...

Loved all the Hen Night pictures and videos, I'll have to go back again and finish reading post sometime next week. Have a great weekend everyone. Be safe.
Later.

My publisher is back, and I am about to send her the newly edited version of my novel for her to send on to the other author for her to look at. I hope it goes well! She's coming to pick up her guinea pigs this morning, too. They are cute, but I won't miss cleaning out their cage!

Songbird - we did make a bit of a sandcastle, but then Little Man started using his toy construction vehicles to dig in the sand, so there wasn't much construction done. My hubby was telling me about JK's new book. He read an article online by someone in the industry who had read it, and they said it could do with a lot of helpful editing! So it sounds like it is a little on the long side. That's the trouble, actually, when you've 'made' it as an author. People know that your book will sell no matter what it's like, so they're usually more reluctant to change it at all. Now, for all I know, this person is completely wrong, but they could be right, and maybe no one was game enough to tell JK that it needed a bit of work.

Raine - it was interesting to read your thoughts on your nephew! I often look at my five year old and think, "hm, in ten years time he'll be girl crazy!" It's sad to think of my little boy growing up like that, but time keeps marching on!
