I love that scene when Carlisle was telling Bella about Edward. And what Edward's mother had asked him. i had always wondered what kind of relationship Edward had with his parents. i just can't picture it. I hope like many people there's something about his parents in midnight sun <3

For some reason, I never had the feeling that Elizabeth actually knew what Carlisle was. What I think she meant when she said for him to do everything in HIS power was that he was such a good doctor and only he could bring him back to life. (it's okay if no one agrees with me )

I have always liked everything about Elizabeth... I remember when I first read the part about her... I said her name in my head like 5 times... it just sounds so elegant.... so Edward!
I loved that she wanted to have her son saved. I don't believe she knew what that really meant for Edward. But, I love that her motherly instinct took over on her death bed and she wanted Edward to be saved.
Side note... I love that Edward held onto her ring and gave it to Bella!!!!!
I think Elizabeth would approve of the women in Edward's life... i.e. Bella and Esme... and little Alice (I think Alice is fabulous and I love all the dialogue between her and her brother).... even God bless her Rosalie... our flawless headcase!

Thank god for Elizabeth Masen. I hope SM would write more about her in books. She seems very interesting.

Do you guys think that she knew that Carlisle was a vampire? It seems like she did, or might have suspected something. Maybe she and Bella have more in common than we think. *ponders*

Three reasons Elizabeth Masen is awesome:
1. She's absolutely the type of person I'd picture of as Edward's mother: sweet, warm, motherly, yet elegant at the same time. I can just tell by her name. Elizabeth. Elizabeth. Elizabeth. =D

2. She had some intuitiveness that Carlisle was something else. Maybe Edward got his intuition (and enhanced mind-reading skills) from his mother.

3. Read Twilight. In almost every chapter, he's mentioned. Edward. Edward. Edward. *sigh* What would we ever do without you?
