Chelsea must be influencing Renata. From what we've seen of her, she'd prefer spend her life under a rock rather than being a body guard.

yeah, i guess you're right. Renata probably doesn't even have a choice in the matter, Aro just needs her, so he uses Chelsea's power to keep her. Chelsea may be able to make Renata want to serve Aro, but she can't make her a strong bodyguard

Well, Renata doesn't really need to be strong physically. She seems very subdued and quiet. Maybe she's make a good vegetarian vampire...since you know, she doesn't like violence.

I feel so sorry for Renata, stuck in all that violence when she hates it so much.

Stupid question - Can Chelsea use her power on herself? Just if she was curious, could she convince herself that she was in love with . .. I don't know, a random human or something?

lol! i don't know....it seems unlikely, but not altogether impossible. i mean, could Jane use her power on herself? [not that she'd want to, but it's the same principle.]
