OMG, I couldn't have said it better myself!!Andreas_90 wrote:Eh, people like that... just no. It's like people saying the birth scene in Breaking Dawn promotes celibacy (overly prudent?)
In my opinion, the pregnancy part was brought in a bit too soon and put way too much emphazis on and then blown over too quickly (had I had it my way, they would've rmeoved the child and out it in some freakish tank with blood... but that's pretty gruesome). What surprised me about it... hmm... I guess it was the vampires-can-reproduce-with-humans thing. Vampires = dead? Or is it Vampires=mutated humans?
a couple hundred pages on the pregnancy... it was annoying...
then SM used endless and meaningless dialogues between Edward and Jacob (or any other character) to fill the boringness of the whole pregnancy period.
Another thing worth pointing out is that according to SM description of the vampire anatomy, female vampires are non-human and male vampires are kind-of-human. I mean, WTF????
So female vampire cannot have babies because their body won't change since they have become stones (stones don't have monthly period, nor can their body change to carry a baby)... ok, I buy that.
And male vampires are stones just like female vampires but their bodies are producing sperms....Hm????
I mean, BD is my favorite book from the saga, but there's just some little annoying details that bug the hell out of me!
