Re: Setting the book to music

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Alima. Wasn't trying to alienate anyone here with my taste in music... :? Minor change to the Twilight list: Took out "Stranger" by Secondhand Serenade and put in "Iris" by Goo Goo Dolls instead for page 177. The song is the same length, so it's a "straight ...

Re: Setting the book to music

For the record, I didn't intend to use a majority of music from the 90's. That really, honestly wasn't my intention. It just kinda worked out that way... (Revealing my age here: I'm class of '99 if this is any indication and I did most of my major music collecting in High School, so 90's musi...

Re: Setting the book to music

I found one that i liked for the NM preface... It is called the Interlude by Kettles. I don't even know who they are but the interlude sounds like it would work. Interesting. That one in particular is a little longer than what I had in mind, but your suggestion gave me a great idea: searching playl...

Re: Stephenie Meyer's Official Playlists

I had the thought of taking my complete book playlists (see my sig line) and making them public on iTunes, and then all of them would be in one place and you could go to it and they'd be there and in order and you could just click purchase on down the list, but that's way down the line and would be ...

Re: Stephenie Meyer's Official Playlists

Can anyone tell me an easy ;) way to download SM's playlists? I would like to listen to them in car (while I'm shuttling kids back and forth LOL!). I love her picks! Legally? iTunes (or Amazon or whomever) should everything available for purchase. Buy the song, and then burn a CD from iTunes or cre...

Re: Setting the book to music

Time for some updates: 1) That one song in orange on the Twilight list is now officially substituted. (It was "Close Your Eyes" by Snow Patrol starting on page 352 for those who might be keeping track). It's now "Mona Lisa" by The All American Rejects as suggested by Jazzlover. (Go Jazzlover!! Wooho...

Re: Setting the book to music

The ultimate proof I do take suggestions (in case any of you were under the impression that I don't ;) ): I got a PM from a new Lex member, Jazzlover, who suggested an acoustic version of "Bent" by Rob Thomas/Matchbox 20 that fit all the parameters I was looking for and is on playlist.com. This was ...
