Would you consider Clary to be a strong female character if you only read City of Bones? Why?

Re: Cassandra Claire: Mortal Instruments Series
True. Well, here goes. SPOILER ALERT! You have been warned. My question is regarding Simon and the Mark he received. Didn't they say that the Mark would turn him into a nomad? So, wouldn't that mean he would be sort of forced to travel, and be unable to settle down anywhere? They didn't really go i...

Re: Cassandra Claire: Mortal Instruments Series
I finished the third book last week. There's one thing about the ending that I wonder about, but I don't want to say anything since (from the looks of it) not many have finished reading it. So I'll wait. :) You can post about it. Just put a *****spoiler***** disclaimer before you write anything.

Re: What are you reading?
The Host is really good, you should give it a shot if you enjoyed the Twilight series. Librarybooks unfortunately all the books that came to my mind are mostly (it turns out as I checked them) are considered occult or fantasy and not horror. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. No worries! Thanks for ...

Re: What are you reading?
I am doing a project where I need to read a few books that have a strong lead female character and the genre is horror. Blood and Chocolate - this is the only one I can think of. I am not much of a horror reader. Any recommendations?? Thanks! ***** Update: ***** So I found the following book - has a...

Re: Gutter Guys & Gals-- Vampires Behaving Badly: The Discussion
Glad to see the Gutter is still here! I haven't been on the Lex in ages. Since I started going to grad school for library science my "fun" computer time has been seriously cut!! How many times have you watched Twilight since it came out on DVD? :) I watched it on Saturday by myself and on ...

Re: Cassandra Claire: Mortal Instruments Series
I don't know how you guys can wait?!? I had a hard time waiting until 4:00 (after work) to buy City of Glass from Borders on Tuesday. I then proceeded to read until I finished the book! It is possible that City of Glass was my all time favorite series ending book. (Hopefully that sentence makes sens...

I finished the final book in the Mortal Instruments series this week - City of Glass by Cassandra Clare. OMG it is so good! She did a great job of wrapping up the series. I highly recommend it!
