The whole woods scene was incredibly painful and I have often wondered about it. I don't think Alice or anyone in his family would have gotten his car because he said they had all left already. I actually think she will continue to need to sleep every night. She is so close to Jacob in development in the sense that he grew very quickly when the werewolf gene triggered and then stopped aging but he still needs sleep. I would imagine it would be similar to this.
