A thread for reporting technical hitches with the Lex. This means stuff which suddenly isn't working.
ETA
This thread is just for reporting unexpected problems. If you simply need help figuring out how to use certain features on the Lex, DON'T post about it here. Start a new topic in this forum with your question.
But please check out the existing threads in Accident first -- your question may already have been answered! Also have a look at the How To's and FAQs in the Newborn forum.

Re: Glitch Report
It would seem that no one's post counts are going up. All the general members are still on zero no matter how many posts they've made.

Well now that's a problem.Bronze Haired Girl wrote:It would seem that no one's post counts are going up. All the general members are still on zero no matter how many posts they've made.
Let me go try to figure it out. This one might take awhile because I don't know that I know where the exact problem is likely to be.

Good news: found the problem
Bad News: PITA to fix, but I'm on it.

It may help to understand human affairs to be clear that most of the great triumphs and tragedies of history are caused, not by people being fundamentally good or fundamentally bad, but by people being fundamentally people.

Re: Glitch Report
Ok I think I nailed the post count thing down.
The newest problem concerns error messages on searches. Is anyone getting odd messages on searches? If so
1. what term did you search?
2. was it the master search or the forum search?
3. what was the weird message?

Re: Glitch Report
This is regarding the post count glitch:
Now my post count is going up, but it ignores any of the posts previous to when it was fixed. So, after posting this, my count will say three even though it's more along the 6~7 area. Not a big gap, I know, but I thought I should just point it out.
Thanks for all the work you've put in though. The new forum looks great, and the interface/control panel works more smoothly than the old one. It also doesn't randomly boot me out, making me login about 8 times per post. I have a good feeling about this new incarnation of the forums. ^.^

2. I was in the Sparkling in the Sun Forum and I tried both the forum search and the master search
3. Both searches gave me the following:
PS I just used the save feature when compiling this post. left the thread came back and loaded the draft again. Brilliant! it worked like a charm.Information
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: alice cullen.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.

Re: Glitch Report
It seems that the post count started at the time it was FIXED. So everyone who had posted before that will have some posts that don't go toward their count. It shouldn't be a very large number though. Better that you lost 5-10 posts rather than 100, right?
Sorry for the trouble though. Remember, these boards are new to US as much as they are new to you!

Re: Glitch Report
I can't seem to 'edit' my posts in the Sparkling in the Sun board
is that some sort of glitch?
EDIT: it seems to be working now
it's weird, i would swear it wasn't working for me earlier though, hmph!
