Re: Edward Cullen #2
I'm just going to jump into the discussion here quickly. One notable difference between Cocoa's story and the Jacob situation with Edward and Bella is that Cocoa asked her husband to stop seeing the other girl, she did not make him stop. Edward on the other hand, did not ask her to stop seeing Jacob...

Re: Edward Cullen #2
I'm surprised that none of the Cullens ever considered going through a private school or a fine arts school instead of just repeating public schools. The curriculums would be a bit different and if we go with the art school then they can take courses in art, music and what not. It's possible that th...

Re: The Science of Twilight
Regarding the Meyer's Breaking Dawn FAQ and pregnancy, what her lengthy explanation fails to address is why most of their organs (such as those in the digestive system) no longer function since they are unnecessary and yet the vampire male reproductive system continues to work in a vampiric form. Va...

Re: The Science of Twilight
Who's really to say that vampires and humans are too far off the genetic spectrum to mate? Only the author of whatever story has vampires and humans in it. Vampires are fictional creatures, therefore their science can be dealt with differently than this one. I mean, if SM just went and made Rosalie...

Re: Mike Newton
Ah ok, so his behaviuor wasn't all that different in Midnight Sun compared to Twilight and I agree that he has been a very good friend to Bella even when she treats him like crap (which seems to happen a lot). He feels more possessive of her than anything. He's jealous, but you never really hear him...

Re: The Science of Twilight
Pubesy, i don't really see what you're trying to prove with that since that works on humans, I am not trying to PROVE anything, malaz. and i am not just relating vampires to humans. For me, the blood that enters their body is sort of the same with the food that enters our body. The food has fats th...

Re: Mike Newton
Every time Edward reads his mind in Midnight Sun I want to shout at Mike, "Give it up! She doesn't want you! She is NOT a piece of meat! You do NOT own her!" Did he really regard Bella as nothing more than something to look at? I honestly don't know since I couldn't get past the 3rd chapt...

Re: Bella Swan Cullen
^ Agreed. Her back story is a bit inconsistent with her character throughout the book. She seemed to develop some level of a friendship with the kids in Forks within a week but never had a single friend in Phoenix after all those years? They can't possibly all be shallow, tanned athletes. I think it...

Re: Bella's Pregnancy
Off topic: But what is it with so much emphasis on BEAUTY. What does beauty have to do with anything, I ask you? Bella Swan (Beautiful Swan). BS! Goodness gracious, it bothers me so much that these books are so vain! If you can ignore the vanity, perhaps you'll get over it, but: "I guess my br...

Re: Bella Swan Cullen
It's also not very fair to ask someone to comb through the books looking for examples--except when they accuse the author of incompetence and vilify the main character. Without specific examples, sweping generalities are not credible to me. (I'm really glad none of you who are so down on Bella's im...
